On July 10, MIK Group officially introduced its new township brand, Forestia, at an exclusive launch event themed “In Motion with MIK.” Inspired by local cultural heritage, MIK Group demonstrated a thoughtful approach to balanced, integrated urban development built upon enduring core values.

According to MIK Group, Forestia townships stem from a desire to preserve and carry forward the cultural essence of each location through a contemporary lens. “The essence lies in how we preserve age – old values, traditional lifestyles, local identity, and stories, yet retell them in a modern language. As we build new urban developments, we aim to ensure these cultural narratives remain present in today’s living spaces,” a representative from MIK Group shared.

Iconic imagery deeply rooted in the collective memory of generations of Vietnamese people – such as the banyan tree, the village well, the communal yard, village lanes, and rustic open-air markets – served as the foundational inspiration for Forestia’s master design principles. Rather than merely recreating nostalgic symbols, MIK Group distills the spirit of indigenous culture and translates it into contemporary planning and architectural language, establishing a strong foundation for future township developments.

Reimagined through modern planning, village wells and ponds are transformed into central lakes and public spaces—serving as the vibrant heart of each township. Communal yards evolve into civic plazas where residents gather for social activities. Verandahs, narrow alleyways, and village gates are reinterpreted into transitional spatial layers, fostering a sense of warmth and familiarity while safeguarding privacy. Meanwhile, traditional market stalls are reinvented as modern commercial streets, bringing vitality and dynamic rhythm to the entire urban area.

At the core of this design philosophy lies the “Canopy Principle.” Inspired by the sheltering canopy of the banyan tree in Vietnamese culture, the concept envisions an urban environment designed for connected and sustainable living beneath lush canopies – a sanctuary where residents experience comfort, tranquility, and meaningful connection in their daily lives. By prioritizing resident experience and long-term residential value, MIK Group structures urban spaces into multi-layered canopy systems where architecture, landscape, and lifestyle harmoniously resonate to create a balanced living environment – private enough for peaceful rest, yet connected enough for a thriving community to flourish over time.

Built upon this philosophy, Forestia is defined as a balanced integrated township model guided by the core message: “Nurturing happy lives under green canopies.” Residential units, water bodies, landscaped greenery, amenities, and public spaces are master-planned holistically from the outset to complement one another seamlessly. MIK Group emphasizes that the true value of a township lies not in the sheer volume of amenities, but in how harmoniously every element functions together to deliver sustainable quality of life, fostering long-term resident attachment and cultivating multi-generational communities.
Through this human-centric approach, Forestia aims to create integrated urban spaces where nature and people thrive in harmony; where facilities are seamlessly interconnected; where public realms encourage meaningful encounters and community bonding; and where enduring values are continuously nurtured alongside the community over time.

Forestia also represents a major strategic leap in MIK Group’s business model, marking its expansion into large-scale, integrated township developments. In the upcoming phase, Forestia townships will be planned and developed in high-growth corridors featuring expanding infrastructure, seamless connectivity to major economic hubs, and strategic advantages from key transport arteries and future urban rail networks. According to MIK Group, site selection is driven not only by land bank size or market potential, but also by a long-term vision for infrastructure development and urban expansion. Under this strategic roadmap, the company will progressively launch Forestia-branded townships in Pho Noi (Hung Yen), Me Linh (Hanoi), and other key target markets.
Partnering with MIK Group in realizing this ambitious development strategy are world-class international firms, including Gensler (USA), Design Worldwide Partnership (Australia), COEN Design International (Singapore), Turner International (USA), among other leading global consultants. By combining global expertise and development standards with deep cultural understanding and local insights, MIK Group aims to build modern townships that carry a distinct, meaningful identity.
